CEO Corner: Meet us in the browser

Author: Milind Gadekar , Posted On: Sep 24, 2013

It was 20 months ago, in early 2012, that we launched CloudOn. We were pleased to witness our vision of helping people work smarter on their mobile devices resonate in the market as our users made us the #1 productivity app in over 120 countries.

I am eternally grateful for the support we have received from this fast-growing and extremely loyal group of individuals.

We continue to work towards this vision, and today marks another exciting moment for CloudOn, as we transform from a mobile app to a ubiquitous cloud-based service enabling smarter group productivity.

Okay, what does this actually mean?

First and foremost, CloudOn is now available in your browser. You are now truly able to work without limits –using the applications and files you need on the screen that meets your needs wherever you are. Log in and give it try on Chrome or Safari.

We’ve also added some new features to help you stay connected to your work and your colleagues. Our file sharing capabilities now let you easily share files with anyone – even if they are using different storage providers or devices. Once that file is shared, you and your team can discuss, edit and review it together on the shared FileSpace, where every activity is automatically logged. Now, not only does everyone have access to the same file, but also the context associated with it.

Finally, we are introducing CloudOn Pro.

Offering the CloudOn service for no cost over the past 20 months has been the best investment we’ve made to date. It has enabled us to listen to your feedback, understand your productivity needs, and make CloudOn as smart and genuinely useful as it can be.

But we want to continue investing in CloudOn to make it even better. So beginning today, September 24, 2013, we’re moving a select set of advanced Microsoft Office® editing functions to our new on-demand service: CloudOn Pro.

CloudOn will remain free for the vast majority of your daily needs, with hundreds of features available to you. Simply purchase CloudOn Pro when you need advanced functionality, such as:

• Track changes in Microsoft Word®.
• Pivot tables in Microsoft Excel®.
• Presentation mode in Microsoft PowerPoint®

You can purchase CloudOn Pro from within the app at two pricing options: a monthly or annual plan. Both options give you full access to all CloudOn Pro features across all your devices for the entire time you need it.

For a limited time we are pleased to offer CloudOn Pro at a special promotional price of $2.99/month or $29.99/year.

To help answer any questions about CloudOn Pro, we’ve put together this article. Or, you can also drop us a note – we always want to hear from you

Our plans to fundamentally change the way we create/consume/share information are coming to life, and I cannot help but get excited about the road ahead.

I look forward to hearing your feedback about our latest release and working with you on the future of CloudOn.

I sincerely thank you for your continued support.

- Milind
