In Sik Rhee

In Sik has been living and breathing technology since the age of 12 when he learned how to program a computer by borrowing computer magazines at the local library. At 19, he interned at Microsoft and developed the volume controller for Windows. At 24, he co-founded his first startup Kiva Software and built one of the industry’s first Java application servers, to be deployed by customers like ETrade and Bank of America. At 28, he co-founded Loudcloud, an early cloud computing pioneer which became Opsware, and helped define the data center automation category.
Now a General Partner at Rembrandt, In Sik misses the days of writing code but still likes to dig deep into understanding what makes a product work. A “platformer” at heart, his passion is to work with teams who have the potential to impact computing at a grand scale.
In Sik loves to travel with his family, cycle, and play video games. He also longs for the day when he can see his alma mater (California) play in the Rose Bowl.
